Tesla has opened more Superchargers for electric cars from other manufacturers, this time along nearly the entire route to Norway’s North Cape.

Multiple reports have indicated that the route includes 42 additional Supercharger locations, where drivers of non-Tesla brands can now charge as well.

Tesla began with an initial test in the Netherlands, involving ten sites, in November 2021. Later, the electric car manufacturer opened its first charging points to non-Tesla brands in Norway and France, in January, with an initial 15 in Norway and 16 in France.

This latest opening of Superchargers to other brands sees Tesla significantly increasing the number of freely accessible Superchargers in Norway, almost completely covering the route to the North Cape.

Some locations are likely to remain exclusive to Tesla drivers, simply because there are plenty of other options, according to the Cikesa station in the south of Norway. However, in the north of the country, not all of the route to the North Cape is covered by Superchargers, with distances of around 250 miles between them.

Drivers of electric cars from other brands using the Superchargers will be able to start and end charging processes manually via the Tesla app. The kWh prices vary depending on the location, while costs can also be reduced with a monthly membership.
