Amidst a series of EV fire incidents, another electric scooter has caught fire in Hyderabad. The incident took place on Wednesday and the videos of the fire are being shared on various social media platforms.

This time a Pure EV Epluto 7G e-scooter can be seen burning in high flames near LB nagar in Hyderabad. No one got injured in this accident, says police officials.

Explaining the incident, the owner of the electric scooter said that he was travelling along with his friend and suddenly the scooter stopped. To check, he opened the battery compartment and saw the smoke coming out of it. Soon after, the e-scooter caught fire. Following the incident, the owner filed a complaint in the nearest police station.

This is not the first incident for the Pure EV manufacturer. This is the fourth time when a Pure EV e-scooter was witnessed on fire in a few months. Recently, the manufacturer has recalled around 2000 electric scooters after seeing the EV fire incidents. Though, the company has not made any official statement over the recent incident.

Apart from Pure EV, Okinawa Autotech and Ola Electric are two other electric scooter manufacturers that caught in the EV fire incidents in the past few months and issued a recall of their e-scooters witnessing the same.

The Government has also ordered a probe in EV fire cases to find out the reason. The EV industry is still under the development stage and needs testing and R&D to avoid such incidents.
