New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Thursday reported 49% jump in its domestic sales to 2,56,755 units in August 2022. The company had sold 1,72,595 units in the domestic market in the same month a year ago.

Total sales in August this year were at 4,01,595 units as against 3,73,270 units, up 8%, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing.

Total two-wheeler sales stood at 3,55,625 units, up 5%, as compared to 3,38,310 units sold in August last year. The Pune-based company said that it has achieved highest ever monthly sales for Platina during the month under review.

Total commercial vehicle sales grew by 31% to 45,970 units as against 34,960 units in the same month last year, the company said.

Exports in August dropped to 1,44,840 units as against 2,00,675 units sold in the corresponding month last year, it added.
