New Delhi: India’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said it has raised prices of its two-wheelers with immediate effect (from September 22, 2022) to partially offset the impact of cost inflation.

“Hero MotoCorp has revised the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles and scooters, with immediate effect. The price revision has been necessitated to partially offset the impact of cost inflation,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company further said the price revision will be up to INR 1,000 and the exact quantum of increase will vary by model and market.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India on Wednesday said it will increase prices of its entire product range by up to 2% from October 1 to offset the impact of rising input costs. The automaker sells models like Virtus, Taigun and Tiguan in the domestic market.
