New Delhi: PURE EV has announced the commercial launch of its first electric motorcycle, ETRYST 350, at an ex-showroom price of INR 154,999 across India. The flagship motorbike is completely designed, developed and manufactured in the country. The organisation has started commercial sales at key outlets across India, the company said in a release.

ETRYST 350 has been designed and developed at PURE EV’s technology development and manufacturing centre in Hyderabad. A single full-charge provides a range of 140 km to the customers. The vehicle is powered by a 3.5 KWH patented battery which is AIS 156-certified and developed in-house by PURE EV.

The entire product engineering has been done to provide a very stable ride experience even at speed of 85 kmph and to deliver pickup and torque at par with premium ICE motorcycles, the release said.

Rohit Vadera, Chief Executive Officer, PURE EV, said, “The launch of this high-performance motorcycle would be a demonstration of PURE EV’s significant learnings in the powertrain design and development at our R&D centre. The core R&D activities of the company are aligned with the expectations of the average Indian customer. We are confident that the product will deliver a highly competitive performance with respect to the existing range of 150 cc premium ICE motorcycles.”

“We are launching the model in metros and Tier 1 cities first before gradually expanding the offering at all outlets pan India. The motorcycle is launched at an entry price point for the experience of a premium electric motorcycle,” he added.

A unique aspect of this motorcycle is the battery, which is designed to work under tough environmental conditions, the release said. It comes with a 5-year/ 50,000 km warranty. ETRYST 350 can adapt to any Indian terrain. The company, with its latest product, aims to specifically target the country’s youth alongside those yearning for a high-performance electric motorcycle at an entry level price point, the release added.

PURE EV is expanding its footprint across all the leading cities and towns in India. The company is already exporting its products to countries in South Asia and further plans to export to South American and African markets.
