Royal Enfield sales rise 17% to 62,155 units in April
New Delhi:
Mid-sized motorcycle maker Royal Enfield, part of Eicher Motors, today reported that its total wholesales increased by 17% to 62,155 units in April, against the sales of 53,298 motorcycles for the same month last year.

Domestic sales increased by 10% to 53,852 units last month against 48,789 in April 2021.

According to the company, it sold 51,564 units of models with engine capacity upto 350cc in April 2022 as against 46,561 units in April 2021, up by 11% YoY. Whereas, it sold 10,591 units of models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc during April 2022 as compared to 6,737 units in April 2021, an increase of 57% YoY.

Exports rose to 8,303 units last month from 4,509 units earlier. The company continued its remarkable run overseas with a year-on-year growth of 84% in sales outside India.

In April 2022, the company’s total motorcycle sales stood at 3,92,627 units (up 15.7% YoY) and total scooter sales were at 24,433 units (down 21.12% YoY).
