Triumph introduces 2023MY Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900 motorcycles: Specs and prices

Triumph India has introduced two motorcycles for the 2023 MY, i.e. Speed Twin 900, and Scrambler 900. However, the two offerings are not new products. Instead, Triumph has essentially just renamed two of its previous motorcycles. From model year 2023, the Street Twin is renamed Speed Twin 900, while the Street Scrambler is named Scrambler 900.

Both the motorcycles belong to Triumph’s Bonneville series of bikes. The rebadging has been done in order to put the two bikes in line with their elder siblings, i.e. Speed Twin 1200 and Scrambler 1200 globally. Moreover, Triumph has also introduced new paint schemes for the Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900.

The Speed Twin 900 is being offered with three paint schemes, namely Jet Black, Matt Ironstone and the new Matt Silver Ice which is borrowed from the Speed twin 1200. The Scrambler 900 is available with Jet Black, Matt Khaki, and Carnival Red/Jet Black (new) colour options.

No mechanical changes are made to either of the bikes. Both draw power from the same 900 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 65 PS of max power and 80 Nm of peak torque. Both motorcycles are paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The Scrambler 900 and Speed Twin 900 are both equipped with an analogue speedometer with an LCD multi-functional display.

Pricing for the 2023 Speed Twin 900 starts from Rs 8.35 lakh for the Jet Black colour, going up to Rs 8.48 lakh for Matt Ironstone and Matt Silver Ice. On the other hand, the Scrambler 900 costs Rs 9.45 lakh for Jet Black, 9.58 lakh for Matt Khaki, and Rs 9.75 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the new Carnival Red/Jet Black paint scheme.
