It hasn’t been too long since a test mule of the upcoming motorcycle under the Bajaj Auto-Triumph Motorcycle alliance was spotted in the UK. And now, very clear images have surfaced almost as if clicked for a photoshoot. The images released by Motorcycle News offer a very clear view of the upcoming motorcycle that seems to pick design cues from the Triumph Bonneville range and is now perhaps production-ready.

It appears to have that modern classic appeal synonymous to the Bonneville range. While the headlamp has a classic round shape, it holds an LED light within, as do the turn indicators. The bike looks finished neatly but wears no branding so far, probably in the final stages of testing.

Not much is known about the powertrain of the first-ever Bajaj-Triumph but it would likely come with a 200-250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, making it a potent rival against the newly-launched Royal Enfield Hunter 350. It remains to be seen if the bike will get a KTM 250cc engine or one derived from it considering the Bajaj-KTM ties. The engine seen on the test mule has air-cooling fins which would primarily be for aesthetics, much like the larger Bonnevilles.

The bike in the photos has upside down forks and a monoshock at the rear, single disc brakes at both ends, and alloy wheels with Metzeler rubber pointing to its road bias.

The segment the Bajaj-Triumph will roll into has been catching on very rapidly in India with the likes of Hunter 350, TVS Ronin and Jawa 42. Reports and the test mule that suggests the bike is in its final stages of testing point to an official unveil during the EICMA motorcycle show in November this year, followed by a launch in India by early next year.
