BMW G 310 RR launching tomorrow: Expected price, features, specs

BMW Motorrad India is all set to launch a brand-new 310 cc fully-faired sports bike based on the TVS Apache RR 310 in the country tomorrow, i.e. July 15. The company has revealed a range of teasers of the motorcycle, and also started accepting bookings. To be christened as the ‘G 310 RR’, the new motorcycle will be a rebadged version of the Apache RR 310, except with a few unique changes of course.

Similar to the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS, the new fully-faired motorcycle will make use of the same 312 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Apache RR 310. This engine puts out 34 PS of max power at 9700 rpm, and 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7700 rpm. The transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike will come equipped with full-LED lighting, as well as a 5.0-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features will likely include bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, as well as an adjustable suspension .The G 310 RR will dawn unique livery as well as paint schemes, while the overall design, including that of the fairing, tail section, exhaust etc is expected to be similar to the donor bike.

Pricing is yet to be revealed, but we expect the BMW motorcycle to be pricier than the TVS Apache RR 310 given the badge value. For reference, TVS currently retails the RR 310 at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). BMW Motorrad India has also revealed that EMI for the upcoming motorcycle starts at Rs 3,999 with BMW Financial Services.
